Soft Starter Main Control Board PCB Development
This project delivers a complete hardware design for a 3-phase AC motor soft starter controller, targeted for industrial motor starting and current-limiting applications. The PCB is implemented as a 4-layer stack-up design, developed in Altium Designer, with full schematic capture and PCB layout delivery.
System Overview
The hardware platform integrates multiple functional modules on a single PCB:
Isolated Auxiliary Power Supply
Offline switching power supply, converts AC input to regulated 24V and multi-channel 3.3V/12V isolated auxiliary rails, providing power for MCU, analog sampling, thyristor drive circuits and communication interfaces.
MCU Core Control Unit
Based on ARM 32-bit microcontroller, equipped with external crystal, reset circuit, indicator LEDs and debugging download interface, serving as the central algorithm processor for soft-start logic, protection and communication.
Voltage & Current Sampling Circuitry
Current transformer signal conditioning, operational amplifier filtering and precision sampling circuits. Real-time acquisition of three-phase motor current and mains voltage for overcurrent protection, phase loss detection and closed-loop soft-start control.
